This route approaches the mountain from the southern east, famously known as the “Coca Cola “ route. This route is the oldest route being used since 1889. Many tourists prefer this route because its easy to climb and guests are accommodated in huts in the style of dormitories. The route takes a minimum of five days but recommended to do six days climb to increase chances to make to the top easily. Led by professional climbing crews, you'll acclimatize with ease along this popular climbing route while crossing diverse terrain from rainforests to arctic desert. You'll be comfortable throughout the experience with porters carrying equipment, kitchen team cooking, and accommodation in wooden huts provided. Afterwards, admire your progress from a local hotel in the mountain's foothills.

  • Hut accommodation during the hike (special Kilimanjaro walk-in tents) - 2 hikers per tent. Single accommodation is not possible on Marangu route due because of the park regulations
