Rønde

Rønde is a hill town with a 95-meter height difference between the lowest and highest points. This type of grade change is rare in Denmark, where the highest point is 172 meters above sea level.

Hestehave Wood, a recreational wood on the southern outskirts of Rønde, extends downhill to the sea at Aarhus Bay. The wood is owned by the state and includes a network of trails and gravel roads utilized by residents of Rønde and others. The Kal Castle Ruin is located 2.5 kilometres from Rnde, on an island with a cobbled medieval road on a dam leading to the ruin. The location is a popular tourist destination.
