Byron Bay is the ideal coastal destination on many backpackers' bucket list. It is the embodiment of the Australian beach lifestyle. The seaside idyll has a reputation for being a gathering place for hippies, gypsies, and creative people, despite being located on Australia's most easterly point. It's where you may surf in the morning, express yourself artistically during the day, and relax in the afternoon with a bottle of locally and independently made beer.

Weather-wise, the best time to visit Byron Bay and the North Coast is from September to November, when temperatures are pleasant and average rainfall is low. The cheapest time to visit Byron Bay and the North Coast is from June to August, when there are less tourists.
