Allinge-Sandvig

Allinge-Sandvig is a village in Denmark's Hovedstaden area. It is part of the municipality of Bornholm, which is located approximately 147 kilometers east of Copenhagen. Allinge-Sandvig has a population of around 1500 people.

Allinge and Sandvig were independent fishing communities formed in the Middle Ages. Since then, the twin towns have grown to be two of the most significant districts on the island, with quarrying and tourism being the most important. The ancient quarries are now wonderful natural landscapes with clear traces of prior activity.
