Take the incredible two-day journey down the mighty Mekong on the slow boat to Luang Prabang. On the slow boat,there are 100-200 people on board.And the boat may not exactly the same like the pictures.
Our package includes lodging for the initial night in Huay Xai, accompanied by a complimentary breakfast featuring a traditional Lao sandwich. Customers are responsible for arranging their accommodations for the second night in PakBeng. This two-day transfer offers an exciting cross-border journey between Thailand and Laos. You will be picked up around 9:00 am from your Chiang Mai accommodation for the 5-hour drive to Chiang Kong. On route, the minivan will stop at Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) for a 50-minute break from driving before continuing to Chiang Kong. At Chiang Kong you will be dropped at The Thai Immigration post for processing out of Thailand, we will then cross to Huay Xai on the Laos side where you will be processed by the Lao Immigration authorities, once all immigration formalities are completed you will board the bus for the 12-hour bus ride to Luang Prabang.
