From high atop Chandragiri Hill, a new cable car system has opened to take visitors to the top. Opened in 2016, the Chandragiri Cable Car has quickly become one of the most popular places to visit in the Kathmandu Valley. The Chandragiri Cable Car tour begins in the morning when a private car with your guide picks you up at your hotel. Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers, the park includes hilly areas of the Shivalik Range covered by deciduous trees. Parts of the park are floodplains of the rivers; Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu. These floodplains are covered by dense tall elephant grass, forests of silk cotton, acacia and Sisam trees. Chitwan National Park was officially established in 1973 and included as a World Heritage Site in 1984. Journey down the river by canoe, watch the sunset over the jungle.

You head to the domestic airport at 5:30 o’clock and board the plane at 6:30. Then, you head northeast and fly towards the Everest region. Slowly, you start to notice a parade of gleaming mountains. Beginning from the Ganesh ranges, you can also relish the Langtang, Jugal, Dorje Lakpa, Shisha Pangma, and Gauri Shankar ranges. Continuing further east, you enter the airspace of the Everest region. Then, mountains like Melungtse (7181m), Pigferago (6620m), and Numbur (6957m) will mark your arrival into the land of the Mt. Everest. Next, on the flight, you can enjoy the views of Cho Oyu (8201m), Nuptse (7861m), and the Mt. Everest (8848m).

Balthali is a small, sleepy yet admiring village which rests at the junction of Roshi and Ladku Khola river. It stands on the plateau which is just beyond Khopasi, 40km away from Kathmandu.

We can reach the resort after an hour’s walk from Khopasi, till where we can drive. If you walk from Panauti, it will take about two hours to reach Balthali. There is a beautiful resort in Balthali from you can observe great mountain views in the north attractive spans of the Terai plains in the south.

Balthali is a place where you can mainly find Newar tribes of people who have kept their traditions and way of life for several generations. You can live here with a completely local family where you will have an opportunity to observe their day-to-day activities and share moments with them.

There are numbers of excellent short and long hikes inside Panauti Valley that takes you to explore many religious sites such as NamoBuddha, Indreshwar Mahadev and Brahmayani, etc.

Kakani Village is famous for bird watching, trout fish-farming and for its amazing Himalayan view. Just an hour scenic drive towards the north of Kathmandu Valley takes us to Kakani Village, which is situated at an altitude of 2073m.

During the spring season, the forests at the hillside will be covered by vibrant colors of rhododendron flowers, maple, orchids, and appealing coniferous pine forests. This trek is the excellent alternative to Annapurna Ghorepani Trek to those who want a little more off beaten trail to explore remotely Nepal with fewer tourists.
