While the hike is regarded as easier than Table Mountain, it still involves steep rocky and narrow terrain at certain points from about half up way and a section where the use of steel handles and chains need to be used to get up 2 pitches of about 3 meters each (only up and not down). Arguably the most challenging Table Mountain hike as it involves rock scrambling over three ascents using a chain one through a unique 11 inches rock chimney and follows the narrow ridge on the right hand side of Table Mountain with some heart stopping exposure.
This hike being challenging and not marked give you the opportunity to explore some of the lesser traveled path on Table Mountain and to skip the over populated area.

In 1964, an anti-apartheid revolutionary named Nelson Mandela was arrested and brought to South Africa’s Robben Island, just west of Cape Town.
