Gerês Nationa Park is situated one and half hour driving from Porto and this is what it will take to be in the heart of the park.

Because we don't want to annoy you with so much driving, we will stop midway to stretch our legs and have a coffee (not included).

Once in Gerês National Park, we will cross the park to visit the most amazing spots as the astonishing waterfalls and viewpoints from this beautiful park as walking a bit in order to feel in true contact with Nature and breath this fresh air ;)

On our way, we will have time to visit Gerês Village, known for the termal waters for a few snacks (not included) and relax a bit.

Full day circular tour within the Peneda-Gerês and Gerês-Xurés PN, here we will introduce you to a small territory of the only National Park in Portugal.
We will visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Peneda, viewpoints overlooking the horizon, granaries built hundreds of years ago, hot springs and Roman bridges.

The final destination of this tour will be Castro Laboreiro, a typical inland northern village that practiced transhumance - moving from winter locations to summer locations and vice versa - known for its culture and historical monuments, such as its Roman bridges, the Castle and wonderful waterfalls. The ex-libris of this village is its dog with the same name, an autochthonous breed of dog and endemic to Castro Laboreiro - the Castro Laboreiro dog.
