Dating back to the eighteenth century, the village, with the famous ports La Fossata and Balata (also known for the well-known Tonnara) and the beauty of Piazza Regina Margherita will leave you breathless. During your time you can also take a break by the sea on the "Litorale Spinazza", reachable on foot from the Borghetto. The tour will continue to Ortigia, an island that contains the oldest part of the historic center of Syracuse, starting from the Greek period. The Baroque architecture in white stone is fascinating. Last, and not least, stop at the Neapolis Archaeological Park, an open-air museum that contains evidence of various eras, from the protohistoric to the late antiquity and Byzantine ages.

After visiting the Greek Theater and the large archaeological area, the quarries and the Ear of Dionysius, we will visit the typical market of the Ortigia Peninsula where spices, dried and fresh fruits, tomatoes, cherries, vegetables, cheese and fish, almond -Sweets and chocolates from Modica are offered. Ortygia, the historic center of Syracuse, which, with its unique charm, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. You will see the remains of the ancient Greek temples, the Castello Maniace fortress, the baroque churches, noble palaces and the fantastic cathedral overlooking the main square. During a long walk through the streets of Ortygia we will admire the famous painting "The Burial of Saint Lucy" by Caravaggio, dedicated to the town's patron saint, and we will stop at a company that works with papyrus, whose existence in this area of Sicily dates back to goes back to the time of the Greeks.

We will discover together the beauty of the archeological park of Syracuse,area where i grew up following my father on his Tours ( he is a tour guide too). We will visit the largest greek Theatre of Sicily, the biggest sacrificial altar of the greek period, a Roman amphitheatre and a huge stone quarries. Inside the quarry we will enter inside the famous Grotto called the Hear of Dyonisus famous for its properties to amplify the voices.
