Before WWII Poland had the biggest Jewish Population in Europe. In Krakow before Second World War there lived around 67 thousand Jews.

This tour has two stages. In the first one, we will drive a comfortable ecological golf cart in search of traces of Jewish culture through the Krakow districts of Kaimierz and Podgórze. Kazimierz is one of the oldest districts of the royal city, once an independent settlement, located behind the no longer existing branch of the Vistula River. First of all, it is a place known for the coexistence and interpenetration of two cultures over the centuries - Christian and Jewish. There was a Jewish ghetto in Podgórze during the war, traces of which can be found to this day.
In the second part, we will visit one of the most popular museums in the city with a guide. Although it is associated with the name of the German entrepreneur Oskar Shindler, who saved many Jews by employing them in his factory, the main topic of visiting the museum is the fate of Krakow and its inhabitants during the Nazi occupation. We will see this amazing interactive exhibition that really leaves no one indifferent.

Having arrived at the former camp, we'll remember the tragic events which took place here from 1943 onwards, when Płaszów began to receive thousands of Jews from the Krakow ghetto. You will get to learn about the remarkable history of Krakow city during the holocaust.

The camp and life in it are shown in the Schindler's List movie (1993) about the life of Oskar Schindler. The area which held the camp now consists of sparsely wooded hills and fields, with one large memorial to all the victims, erected in 1964 and few smaller. As the Plaszow area is now a nature preserve, so the director Steven Spielberg built a camp replica in the Liban Quarry, some hundred meters away.

Kazimierz (name after Kazimierz the Great, the last Piast and one of the greatest rulers in Polish history) used to be an independent city and from 15th century, a flourishing centre of Jewish religion and culture. The policy of religious tolerance allowed diverse groups of Jewish refugees from all over Europe to come and settle in Poland. Kazimierz became a safe paradise, dominated with the Jews. Today, however very few Jews live in Kazimierz, the district plays role of the artistic centre of Krakow and lots of bars, cafes and Jewish style restaurants help to feel its atmosphere. Plashow is a Nazi concentration camp in the southern suburbs of Krakow, founded by the Nazis shortly after the German invasion of Poland. Originally, Plashow, opened in 1940, was planned as a forced labor camp, but in 1941 the camp was expanded and subsequently converted into a concentration camp, where from October 28, 1942, deportation of Jews from the Krakow ghetto began.
Plashow was known as a concentration camp, supplying several military factories and a quarry with labor.
The camp and life in it are shown in the Schindler's List movie (1993) about the life of Oskar Schindler. The area which held the camp now consists of sparsely wooded hills and fields, with one large memorial to all the victims, erected in 1964 and few smaller. As the Plaszow area is now a nature preserve, so the director Steven Spielberg built a camp replica in the Liban Quarry, some hundred meters away. We will visit all this points during our tour.

Plashow is a Nazi concentration camp in the southern suburbs of Krakow, founded by the Nazis shortly after the German invasion of Poland. Originally, Plashow, opened in 1940, was planned as a forced labor camp, but in 1941 the camp was expanded and subsequently converted into a concentration camp, where from October 28, 1942, deportation of Jews from the Krakow ghetto began.
Plashow was known as a concentration camp, supplying several military factories and a quarry with labor.
The camp and life in it are shown in the Schindler's List movie (1993) about the life of Oskar Schindler. The area which held the camp now consists of sparsely wooded hills and fields, with one large memorial to all the victims, erected in 1964 and few smaller. As the Plaszow area is now a nature preserve, so the director Steven Spielberg built a camp replica in the Liban Quarry, some hundred meters away. We will visit all this points during our tour.
