Midhope Castle 

Midhope Castle is the location for Lallybroch, the ancestral home of Jamie Fraser , played by award winning Scottish actor Sam Heughan .

The second location on this Outlander tour is the historic town of Falkland , featuring the Bruce Fountain and Falkland Palace.

Doune Castle was built in 1400  and provides the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. Doune Castle was Castle Leoch , home of Colum Mackenzie in Outlander Blood of my Blood

Blackness Castle goes back to 1440 . The castle provides the setting for Fort William, where Jamie Fraser is locked up by Black Jack Randall .

Linlithgow Palace 

Depicted as Wentworth Prison, the prison corridors and entrance were used in episode 15 of the first series. The Palace is the birthplace of Mary , Queen of Scots .

If you are not familiar with this TV series, you should not be put off by this as the venues we visit are some of the best in Scotland and this makes for a very interesting and fun day. Tour is approximately 8-9 hours in duration, and suitable for 1-8 persons. On this tour, we’ll take you to St Andrews, famous the world over for being the home of golf. If you're golf mad, you'll get a chance to see the hallowed turf of the Old Course. If you don't like golf, don't worry - St Andrews is also home to some fabulous history and architecture.

On our way north, we'll first of all stop in the village of Culross. In our opinion, this is the prettiest village in Scotland, and famous nowadays as being a filming location of the television series Outlander. We’ll take you on a brief walk around the village, pointing out filming locations and telling you about the real world history of the place too.

When we get to St Andrews, you'll have at least 3 hours in the town to explore it however you want. We’re happy to take you on a walking tour of the town, and take you inside the ruins of St Andrews Castle (for an additional cost). Or, you can visit the golf course, golf museum, the famous university campus or an aquarium. It's your tour.
