Your local guide will keep you caffeinated as you delve into the history and roasting and creation processes behind the usual coffee shop orders as well as the city’s more unique and specialty offerings. You may get to try anything from infused coffee to a decadent espresso invented right here in Seattle!

In addition to getting a crash course in everything from single-origin to sustainable coffees, you’ll really come to appreciate the closely associated counter culture that has historically been – and still is – prevalent in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

You’ll pass by music venues with historic ties to Seattle’s grunge and current EDM scene as well as plenty of places your guide can recommend for cocktails, live music, or even more coffee following your tour!

We will visit Capitol Hill to see some of Seattle’s beautiful old Victorian-style homes, independent funky shops, art, and our most beloved bookstore in the Pike/Pine corridor. On our way to Queen Anne we'll pass Seattle Center (home of the Space Needle and MoPOP) before heading to Kerry Park for incredible views. Then we're off to Fremont for lots of public art and charm. We'll finish at Gas Works Park for stunning views, historic preservation and a glimpse into the floating home communities. There are spectacular views all through this drive! Center of Seattle’s LGBTQ community for years, "the hill" is vibrant, inclusive and delights with small independent shops, booming nightlife and attitude. We will learn about it's history and visit one of Seattle’s oldest parks with great views of the Space Needle. Along the way, we will check out a few of Seattle’s best book stores, some great record shops, sample locally made ice cream and confections, enjoy the best espresso in the city (in my opinion!) and see some of the most famous bars and live music venues in the city. This is a great way to plan your weekend agenda while in town if nightlife is your thing. These are the places I take my friends and family when they visit, I'd like to share them with you.
